We contracted with Northwest Stone Fabricators/Northwest Interiors & Design in August to have our kitchen and bathroopm countertops replaced. We were told it would take some time, which was acceptable to us. However, the scheduing was atrocious. There were visits out of order and late, phone calls not returned, etc.. Also, we had contracted for a "turn key" job but found that we had to argue and call for every little thing to get the job completed; which was not until the end of November. Thank goodness we didn't pay in full up front! The final insult was after they finished securing the dishwasher (again having to ask for a follow-up visit) and while the glue was still drying, they asked for the remainder (approx $5000) of the payment. I said since it had been well over a month since they had actuallly started work, I would send a check the following week. The following day we were sent an email threatening a mechanics lien. The work, when done, was adequate, but dealing with this company was one of my worst experiences in over 50 years of honme ownership.
