This facility may be adequate for many types of nursing care. However, I would not recommend it for patients with dementia. Because of staffing levels (which may be the same as in other nursing homes), they may be forced to control patients, if necessary, by medicating them. In the case of dementia patients, they use drugs which, according to our neurologist, should never be administered to such patients. The sad thing is that negative effects caused by such drugs is mostly irreversible. Further, we were surprised to learn that our primary care physician and neurologist were completely unaware of drugs being administered until they got the information from us after discharge. So, if using this facility, or perhaps any other such type of facility, the patient or their family should try to get and supply such information to the patient's regular doctors on an ongoing basis.
