I went to Sensa for color + cut twice, and I’ll never go back. The actual color + cut are fine/good; the service was awful. During both appointments, my top (read: senior/very expensive) stylist (“stylist 5”) was at least triple-booked. She met with me to discuss what I wanted, mixed the color, applied some/most then she passed me off to her assistant to do the rest while she took subsequent appointments. For $400+ you’re not getting the stylist for your entire appointment, you’re getting the stylist for 25%-33% of the appointment, and then you’re paying top stylist rates for an assistant. It feels like a scam. Additionally, at the second appointment, the stylist left me in the waiting area for 45 minutes until I checked back at the desk. She apologized and gave me $25 off. Considering she charges over $400 for less than 45 minutes of her own time, I thought a $25 discount for 45 minutes of my time was quite insulting.

I've seen James for several years, and he recently moved to Sensa. He's incredible, and the salon is lovely. They even offer beer or wine while you wait!
