A few years ago, Aurora Veterinary Hospital was sold by the local vet owner to a corporation, PetVet Care Centers, https://www.petvetcarecenters.com/site/veterinary-hospital-locations. As a result, all the previous veterinaries have left the practice (I actually had our vet tell me that was why she was leaving.) Dr Bernstein was the previous owner and even he has now left the practice. My impression is that the corporate owner pressures the staff to increase revenue by selling more services and medications, more than what is really needed. We've been going to this practice for 18 years but no longer.

Since they were bought by a nasty corporation, Aurora Vet has really gone downhill. All of the people we used to be able to count on have left, and I feel that is really telling. You will be hung up on if you ask to make an appointment, getting medications isn't easy at all so get a written one there while you can, and they aren't forthcoming about having been bought out; allowing families to think that they are supporting a local business when they are not. Very disappointing and we unfortunately won't be back
