I had 17 windows installed by this company about 10 years ago. Within weeks of installation, I raised concerns about visible bowing and noticeable movement. I was repeatedly dismissed and gaslit—told that the large and growing gaps between the windows and the trim corners were “not a big deal.” And they just caulked the 1/2” gaps. Eventually, the bowed windows failed and broke. When I contacted the manufacturer directly, I learned that the windows were not installed plumb, which voided the manufacturer warranty. During the replacement of the broken window by another company, I also learned that the windows had been installed without waterproofing/flashing tape. To be clear: When notified about the warranty claim, Sound Glass literally stated, “We can’t check every window to make sure it’s plumb.” That position alone nullifies manufacturer warranties and is completely unacceptable for professional window installation. Despite diligent caulking and maintenance on my part, water is now getting behind the siding and into my basement at several window locations—exactly what proper flashing is meant to prevent. When I asked Sound Glass to replace the broken window, they offered to purchase the replacement but refused to install it unless I “rebuilt the wall.” After pushing back, they finally agreed to install it—but quoted an obscene price. I ultimately hired another company to complete the installation for half the cost, though it still ran several thousand dollars. The handling of that single window was so discouraging and dismissive that I have not even approached them about the remaining windows, despite knowing there may be ongoing issues. What makes this especially upsetting is that I personally referred this company to multiple clients and associates, and even featured them in a referral directory sent to 3,000 clients. Their initial service and price were fantastic, but I wasn’t aware of their poor installation practices. I am now embarrassed and deeply concerned that similar installation issues may have caused damage to other homes as well. To be fair, many staff members were kind and professional. However, my sales representative and management were condescending, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility for clear installation failures. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to ask very specific questions about plumb installation, flashing, waterproofing, and warranty implications, and to get everything in writing.

Excellent work. Prompt quote. Great reputation, several contractors recommended them. I usually would get at least two companies' quotes but wasn't confident that other local (Kitsap County) installers would do competent work particularly since I was having a very large window replaced. So, I can't comment on how good the cost was.
