We have an expensive service contract and despite that we have to wait 7 days (plus a weekend) to get our ac fixed when the outside temp is 96-98. I also called the emergency number to say that I don't want to expose my 80-year old husband to extensive heat and got no call back (current temperature in our upstairs is not 90 degrees). In addition, they want everything scheduled through their portal instead of just phoning -- which is very annoying because it is yet again another password and login to remember. They also send too many emails about using their "full service" evaluations of our house and work/maintenance that we might need. We only use this company because they took over a great HVAC company that we liked but once our contract is finished we will not use them again.

I have a Trane HVAC system now eight years old, and Trademasters is a certified Trane dealer (the dealer who sold the system had recently gone out of business). During a July heat wave, the AC stopped cooling. The start/run capacitor had failed, an easy fix for the service techs, but because of the high volume of calls for service, the earliest appointment was three days later. Holders of annual service contracts get priority; I am seriously considering buying one. Sleeping in a room at 86-degrees and 70% humidity is challenging.

I have have used Trademasters for a number of years now and their service has been consistently strong. I’m less than impressed with their online portal, however, which is rigid and confusing.
