We used Evercool twice for maintenance of our upstairs heat pump and our downstairs gas furnace HVAC. We also had new "EcoBee" thermostats installed - first upstairs, and most recently downstairs. Installation was quick and the tech helped with making sure our phone apps were in sync with the new thermostat. They've been friendly, competent, and (excepting one visit where we needed additional cooling refrigerant in the heat pump) very reasonably priced. So far, so good! And much better than the previous company which had the techs constantly trying to "sell" us something we didn't apparently need.

It is July 4th, we are in a heat emergency, and my air conditioner died. I called Evercool. A very nice person actually answered the phone and told me they would send a technician today. Four hours later, I am sitting in my home with a cool breeze coming from the vents. My problem is solved. Thank you, Jeff! I highly recommend Evercool.

Yesterday (7/2/2026) afternoon during the 104 degree heatwave, our AC stopped cooling, then stopped working entirely. In a panic, we made an appointment online with an emergency AC service company. This morning, after a disgustingly sweaty night with no communication or acknowledgement of the appointment, and following 2 hours on hold when we called to check, we gave up and found Evercool via Consumers Checkbook. A pleasant human (Nicole?) picked up the call immediately, and we got an appt for the same day in the afternoon. The serviceman (Jared Thomas) contacted us hours early, before noon, to let us know he was on his way! He was cheerful, informative, and patient with our dum-dum-level questions. And he made our 30+ year-old system resume working, with a price that we were content with. He also gave fair warning that we are close to our system end-of-life, and need to plan for a replacement, giving a ballpark figure that was not unexpected and lower than many ranges I've heard of in the DMV. We appreciate the fast, thoughtful service - we felt seen and well taken care of. And now we're not sweaty!! Thanks Jared and Evercool!
