You think that with home depot, you're dealing with 3 companies - Home Depot, the door mfr, and the installer. You'd be wrong, at least in the case of Thermatru doors. Thermatru contracts with a local manufacturer - Orepac mfg to build the door, and their installer, RFI, is actually an installer clearing house that contracts with the actual installer. So you're dealing with FIVE companies, not three. We had delay after delay, and RFI was not responsive and their contracted installer used a scheduler that never answer her phone and did not have her voicemail set up, so you could never get a hold of them. Doors came with damaged paint and some rubber seals not properly assembled into them that the installer didn't notice until the old doors were ripped out. Called thermatru about fixing the door, and they said to call orepac. Currently still waiting on Orepac though they have contacted us. 7-8 weeks for door delivery and a door install that while the installation went well, the door itself needs help, those seals and poor paint cleanup from the factory finish and the not-installed rubber seals previously mentioned. Lots of frustration due to lack of communication and the 5 layers of companies that you need to deal with.

purchased sliding patio doors and had them install them. extremely non responsive. their 3rd party installer didn't finish the job so home depot sent somebody else out after months and months of my complaining. started july 2017 and they finally finished april 2018. they still owe me a refund of $532. do not use them!!

Size was messed up on a special order door and I was stuck with it since they blamed me for not catching their mistake. It was extremely hard to get the special order placed since no one in Home Depot seems to truly "own" anything.
