I have worked with Andy Anderson at B.I. now on two kitchen projects, the last one just finished up yesterday. I love working with Andy. He has a great attitude and really knows his stuff. B.I. offers a wide range of services including flooring and h/w refinishing. They let you take home (countertop) samples so you can decide what's going to look best for your space and cabs. Andy even has a go-to painter in his back pocket if you need a quality painter and who doesn't need a guy like that? Best of are the prices. The final price includes demo, new countertops, and installation, including the backsplash material and installation. The price for all that was very reasonable, less than what a slab piece of granite would have cost just for my island. Anyway, I worked with B.I. on a kitchen remodel in an old Seattle house I owned in 2021 and they did the (quartz) counter tops and laminate flooring for me. The quality was so good and beyond what I was expecting. What amazed me most was the laser measurements they take of the cabinets to create the exact template to fit my cabinets, walls, and gaps. A week later they're installing your new countertops and they fit like a glove the first time! That kitchen remodel is why I had 11 offers on the house when I sold it in early 2021. Fast forward to March 2023 and Andy's crew did a repeat at my Snohomish house. Andy strongly urged us to go with a white material with whatever sparkles or veining we wanted. We weren't sure about white given the honey-colored cabs and dark hardwoods, but my sister-in-law pointed out that the while would not only brighten up the kitchen considerably, as Andy pointed out, but it would tie in with all the white trim work in the room. They were both right. The new countertops look like something out of a high-end home or hotel and we love them! We have a large island with a sink and they brought a perfectly-cut slab for it. Also, b/c quartz is man made, they were able to make a single long countertop with a 90-deg end that's 30-inches long that butts up against the stove, all as one piece rather than two pieces butted together with glue. There is one other key person on Andy's team who deserves special recognition. Their tile man is a lovely Russian man who does METICULOUS work! He comes in last to do the tile backsplashes at both of my properties, and the work he does is at a level I would only dream about in the past. He's a true craftsman who takes his time (he is not fast) b/c he wants it perfect for the customer, a trait that I truly appreciate; no cutting corners. Call Andy, you'll be glad that you did.
