Inferior. Hired to perform Level 2 chimney inspection at our newly purchased house as recommended by our home inspector. First clue should have been that MacKinnon didn't know what "Level 2" inspection meant, but they agreed to perform their standard chimney inspection. Serviceman poked a flashlight here and there, looked in the basement and attic and said we could use the fireplace if we want but it might or might not be safe. No specifics about the condition of the flue, liner, masonry, damper, door/screen, ash dump, or anything. Gave me essentially a blank condition report as a receipt. I ended up paying twice and going to CSIA website to find a licensed inspector to do the job MacKinnon should have done.
