Trader Joe's is one of the few stores that I can enjoy physically shopping in. I always end up buying more than I came for because they carry such interesting products. The produce is "adequate" for core items, with some really good coverage of things I cannot easily get elsewhere (e.g. shiitake mushrooms). Meats are okay. Frozen stuff they have is good. I love the cheese section. And TJ-specific products are almost always winners. And then there's parking. TJ is known for selecting locations with terrible parking. The Issaquah store is somehow the worst place in Puget Sound to navigate, between the traffic circle, pedestrians (from the adjacent apartment complexes) and narrow spaces. If you can get past that gauntlet, and park a block over, it's not so bad.

I am a weekly shopper at the Shoreline Trader Joe's. The prices are excellent, especially for cheese, produce, and organic grassmilk. (For the latter, $4.00 or more cheaper per gallon than other stores.) The selection of items is. well, unique to Trader Joe's. You just have to accept that it is not a traditional grocery store. And I love the check-out staff. It is obvious they receive corporate training to ask customers how their day is going, but they do it in such a way that I feel they actually care and are interested in my day. Leaves a smile on my face every time.
