Of the three bids we received, B&J was second in price. However, the low bidder was not able to handle some of the carpentry we required in the roof deck. The B&J estimator had some good advice on the carpentry, and the foreman carried it out well, with good attention to detail in the workmanship. In fact, we were impressed with all the crew members, who were efficient and thorough in getting all the details right, and didn't mind my checking up on them frequently. Most did not speak English but were friendly. The foreman's English was excellent. The crew kept the site very clean, leaving no nails or debris that we could find on any of the walks or driveway. The job included replacing skylights: the crew was mostly careful not to rain too much debris into the bedroom beneath, up until the last day when someone ran a blower on the roof while the skylight glass was off, leaving the bedroom with a lot of sawdust we had to clean up. The job took 3.5 days and came in at exactly the expected cost. We had two minor criticisms: They should have contacted us the day before, to confirm when they would start. The roof had a lot of tree branches from the winter storms, which they tossed aside in the yard rather than into their dump truck. That left me with a lot of work to do to clean up our yard and dispose of all the branches in our yard waste barrel over the next few weeks. But overall it was a good experience and good result, so we are pleased to recommend them.

This roofing company spotted many errors made by my last roofers. These errors resulted in leaks and deterioration of the plywood underlay. Initially, I requested a repair but it soon became obvious that this would not really be beneficial. Hence a new roof. I received a bid which gave multiple choices of materials and related costs. The roof was installed as chosen. Crews cleaned up every day. Great work!
