We had some water leaking into one of our rental units in Seattle. Fearing the worst, we thought we needed a new roof. A neighbor of ours in Bellevue had used B & J Roofing for their house and had raved about the job they did for them. Not many roofers work on flat roofs, so we were encouraged when other roofers (who didn't handle flat roofs) referred us to them as well. Setting up the appointment was easy. The receptionist was very pleasant and was able to schedule someone to come out in a few days. When it turned out that it was going to be raining quite heavily on the scheduled day of our appointment, she called to re-schedule a day earlier and mentioned that we didn't need to be there if it was an inconvenience. We appreciated that but it was no problem for us to re-arrange our schedule. When the day arrived, one of B.J.'s senior workers came out and looked at the roof. He discovered that the problem was not the quality of the roof but clogged drains that were keeping the water from draining off the roof. Bottom line, he gave some recommendations about improving our drainage, said that a new roof was not needed, and didn't charge for examining the roof. It was quite a relief and we much appreciated his efforts. Even though we didn't need a new roof this time around, B & J will be at the top of our list when we do.

Pleasant staff and professional workers. They gave me sound advice and recommendations for certain additions. They did a great job on my new roof and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day. Highly recommended!

I wanted to give a shout out to Darren and B&J Roofing. He came out to estimate a re-roof and based on the age and condition of the roof he suggested that I could probably wait two or three years. It's not often that a company is honest and forthright enough to tell you that you don't need their product yet. What's more, he was happy to stay around for another 40 minutes and answer all my roof related questions and recommend some service providers for roof cleaning and gutter repair. B&J will definitely be on the short list of roofing companies we call when the time comes to do the work.
